About us: About Us

The main efforts and activities of the organization are directed towards transfer of knowledge, skills portfolio development and adult education  through blended and linear approach, featuring E-learning, NFE and innovative techniques. Through the years being active in the field of youth and transnational project initiatives we have developed networks with stakeholders for enhancement of competencies. We have relations with decision-makers, NGO’s, chambers of commerce and umbrella organizations working with youth and adults in various fields.

The organization has experience in designing and supporting educational products and programs that are relevant to modern education and meet social needs at national and European level.

The Intellectuals Club is an organization focused on community development through lifelong learning, inclusion and local development. It also aims to promote innovation and sustainable development of communities through adult learning. Experts have developed various training programs inspired by innovative methodologies and pedagogical approaches, problem-based training, chaotic, gaming-based training on various subjects.

Adult learning courses, given the specific cognitive learning pattern of adults and seniors,  are a major part of the Club's portfolio. The organization has extensive experience in designing and using mobile technologies and training tools, including for people with special needs and for social inclusion. It is also an adult education provider.  In the last few years, the organization has successfully experimented and introduced new forms of adult learning through software products for digital skills, acquisition and work with information technologies adapted to people with limited educational opportunities, low-educated adults and marginalized communities.  The members of the association are people with a wide range of professional expression and multi-layered experience, mainly in the field of educational and social services. Many of the association members are intellectuals, popular among the local community but also with many contacts and links with various Slovak and European organizations and institutions. Although most of them are above average age, the team also has a lot of young experts and professionals with modern professions, especially in the field of information technology, which innovate and create new educational tools and technologies.

As representatives of the association, the project will actively include:

Mariana Janchev who has more than 30 years of internship and experience in educational institutions and is in the basis of programs for working with adults.

Victor Mirica who is a lecturer in information technology at college and has a significant amount of author's work in adapting educational programs to acquire basic digital skills for elderly people without education or with low education;

Health enhancing activities and sport participation are within the scope of the organizations’ experience. In the past years, experts have supported local initiatives aimed to include adults into health-enhancing and rehabilitation activities, implemented for short periods of time daily. Club Intellectuals have also assisted in the implementation of a multi-level program for development of skills aimed towards employees. Experts designed a training module aimed towards  improving creative thinking and stress-relief tools which lead to the increase of productivity and a more positive approach towards workspace.

Implementing the EUFIT project will involve key staff members with expertise in the field of methodology and adult educational programs development. It is our understanding that learning, as a complex cognitive process, relies on several elements and when working with adults, specific  needs need to be addressed. Sport and HEPA, in their technical implementation, will be considered and integrated in a cascade of processes. The links and relations between (learning) processes and the coherence to target groups’ specific learning pattern are well within the expertise of the organization.  Participating in EUFIT project will allow us to develop competences and broaden the spectre of application for educational/learning methodologies.
